Important Race Participation Requirements:

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Drone Pilot Registration: You must have a valid current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Pilot Registration Number affixed to your airframe if your aircraft is more than .55lbs as defined in the FAA Drone Pilot Registration requirements. Review Requirements & Register Here:http://www.faa.gov/uas/registration/

Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) Membership: We will be requiring a valid current AMA membership for all pilots who wish to fly at any of our organized open public racing events Register Here:https://www.modelaircraft.org/joinnew.aspx

To eliminate some of the video problems we want to implement some vtx standards this year, below are the minimum guidelines we would like pilots to adhere to.  We will allow others to be used but encourage all pilots to not Skimp on the VTX.  Nothing will ruin the day faster than bad video problems!

RACEBAND VTX: A minimum 32 Channel "RaceBand compliant" VTX is encouraged.  Each pilot should have power selectable VTX and be prepared to expeditiously change channels/bands with ease.  Initially, 200mW is the desired VTX, though 25mW may be a possible power rating.
