The RaceDayQuads 2019 MultiGP Championship Presented by DRL
November 7, 2019 @ 8:00 am - November 17, 2019 @ 5:00 pm EST $125.00 – $150.00
MultiGP and Stemfest USA are excited to announce The RaceDayQuads 2019 MultiGP Drone Racing Championship Presented by DRL will be produced in concert with Stemfest USA at Daytona Stadium, 3917 LPGA Boulevard, Daytona Beach, Florida November 7th through 17th, 2019.
The top-100 pilots in the newly-launched Sport Class division will compete in the opening weekend Thursday Nov 7 to Saturday Nov 9 (Rain Date Sunday Nov 10) in the Sport Class Championship. With two Drone Racing Tracks on-site, the field will narrow over the course of the weekend down to the Top-16 to compete for the inaugural Sport Class Championship Title. Many Drone Racing Pilots in this field will be competing in their very-first championship, and perusing the early roster of pilots most-likely to qualify, this looks to be the most evenly matched field of racers in MultiGP’s tenure, it is anybody’s game to win!
The Sport Class Championship will be staged In concert with STEMFEST USA a celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. It provides an opportunity for engagement and exchange between children, teens, families and STEM professionals. This exciting event will feature numerous exhibitors providing hands-on activities, live performances, interactive demonstrations, and family-oriented STEM entertainment. STEMFEST is a collaboration between Daytona Stadium & Volusia County Schools. More information available at: https://stemfestusa.org/
Pro and Sport Class Championship Weekends
Then, the stage is re-set for The RacedayQuads 2019 MultiGP Pro Class Drone Racing Championship on the second weekend. Thursday Nov 14 to Saturday Nov 16 (Rain Date Sunday Nov 17) the top-200 ranked Pro Pilots will compete on two different tracks on-site, with the field gradually being narrowed to the Top-16 pilots to compete for the Pro Class Championship. Two MultiGP Champions are already qualified: the only-two time MultiGP Champion, Shaun “Nytfury” Taylor (2015-2016) is currently ranked 11th Globally, the reigning MultiGP Champion Evan “headsupfpv” Turner is currently in the #1 spot in the world, will they return to the top of the podium? Or will there be another new MultiGP Champion from someone getting their start at a MultiGP Chapter worldwide, ranked Globally, qualified for the championship and the winner of the “Chase the Ace” Final.
In addition to the primary championship finals for both Sport Class and Pro Class, “the next…” format returns to recognize the champions and top-ranking qualifiers of tomorrow. Each group will have a secondary championship for “the Next 40”, positions 41st through 80 in qualifying (of the 100 in Sport Class and of the 200 in Pro Class), resulting in non-stop action all weekend long on two tracks, and two “blade-to-blade” top-16 double elimination brackets with Chase-The-Ace Grand final races EACH WEEKEND!
