Bracket Race

COMPETITIONS ON THIS TRACK

Nothing is more fun than turning left!  The Pro Spec Oval is a simple track that is wide open throttle and simple to learn! 

Requirements

  • Official Pro Spec Frame or 399 Original Practice Rig
  • Any motor with a stator volume the same as or less than a 2808 motor
  • Betaflight Pro Spec Firmware
  • Meets all Pro Spec Rules
  • Must run the Gemfan 7″ Props

Qualifying Heats

  • Tone Start
  • Lap time will start at Start/Finish Gate (like Global Qualifier)
  • Fastest 3 Consecutive Laps 
  • Qualifying is ZippyQ controlled of 3 packs

Race Final

  • Tone Start
  • Approximately 120 seconds in duration
  • Standard MultiGP Bracket 8 up
  • Chase the Ace Final

Group races, but for Pro Spec!  Head down to the Spec Track and Check in for your group!  Then standard grouo racing!

Format:

  • Tone Start
  • Best to 3 Laps (unless track leader determines otherwise.
  • No Bump up Main format, heats of 8 
  • Each subgroup will race 3 times. The winner of the subgroup will be determined by combined finishing position in all 3 races. The tie-breaker is the pilot with the  best single finishing position (1-2-3, beats a 2-2-2) . If there is still a tie, then the best laps/time from the best finishing position run is the final tie breaker.

Freedom Spec Qualifying will be done on the Spec track, with the finals on the Main Stage for everyone to watch!

Requirements

  • Betaflight Firmware 4.4 or 4.5 KAACK Firmware set to “FREEDOM 18K”
  • 533g Minimum Weight
  • Any motor 2150Kv and below and Any bell size volume less than 2208
  • Required IO Freedom Spec Prop
  • 3 or more (non-status) LEDs
  • Any 6s Battery Any BLHeli32 or AM32 ESC Betaflight

Race Final

  • Tone Start
  • Approximately 100-120 seconds in duration
  • Heads Up race to 4-5 laps.
  • 3 groups of 8 pilots proceed to the finals. 
  • Chace the ace in each group of 8, no bump ups.
  • If by Round 4 there are no winners, in Roud 5 the 4 pilots with an ace race to determine the winner
  • Other places determined by points and motor cross scoring

 This spec should be easy to adopt your quad to, just remember to use the new MultiGP firmware found in Betaflight 4.4 and 4.5 KAACK.

Requirements

  • Any 7″ quad
  • Any motor with a stator volume the same as or less than a 2808 motor
  • Betaflight Pro Spec Firmware
  • Minimum weight of 1280
  • Must run the Gemfan 7″ Props

Qualifying Heats

  • No Qualifying Heats
  • Pre Register at Registration for this Race. 
  • Brackets based on GQ ranking, you must have a GQ Time to participate.

Format:

  • Tone Start
  • Best to 3 Laps (unless track leader determines otherwise.
  • No Bump up Main format, heats of 8 
  • Each subgroup will race 3 times. The winner of the subgroup will be determined by combined finishing position in all 3 races. The tie-breaker is the pilot with the  best single finishing position (1-2-3, beats a 2-2-2) . If there is still a tie, then the best laps/time from the best finishing position run is the final tie breaker.

This year we decided to add a little more structure to the final race experience of our pilots. The group bracket races are a chance for pilots to get that bracket experience at a big event so they will be ready to dominate the World Cup next year!  The format will be 2-4 qualifying packs and then into a double elimination bracket of fast paced heads up racing!

Requirements:

  • 800g or less
  • No battery limit. 
  • No prop limit
  • 2-4 qualifying rounds (based on entries, time remaining), qualifying based on Fastest-2 laps Consecutive

Qualifying Heats:

  • Tone Start
  • 2 minutes in duration, then finish lap
  • Lap 1’s time will start at Start/Finish Gate (like Global Qualifier)
  • Fastest 2-Consecutive Laps 
  • 2-3 Rounds of Qualifying via ZippyQ (roughly 1-1.5 hours)
  • Top 32 qualify for brackets, 8 up.

Finals:

  • Tone Start
  • Approximately 60 seconds – 90 seconds in Duration
  • Best to 2 Laps (unless track leader determines otherwise)
  • The Finals of the bracket will finish with Chase the Ace.
