Help shape the future of drone racing.

The preseason focuses on establishing the structure of the upcoming season, preparing resources and recruiting and supporting participating schools.

• Determine the competition format and overall structure for the season.
• Establish and communicate the season timeline, important dates and milestones.
• Update the CDRA website with registration and participation dues, the season timeline, competition rules and format, IRL race track information, and Championship location and dates when available.
• Create resources, guides and materials to help schools establish and operate drone racing clubs.
• Begin outreach to schools in late August to communicate registration information, season expectations and upcoming opportunities.
• Recruit new schools and expand participation in the CDRA program.
• Increase preseason activity and engagement within the CDRA Discord community.
• Serve as a resource for school organizers, advisors and students as they prepare for the season.

Oversee the structure and resources necessary for schools to successfully participate in in-person racing.

• Create and maintain the official IRL season leaderboard.
• Design the official CDRA IRL race track.
• Develop clear IRL track build instructions and supporting documentation.
• Mentor MultiGP Chapters and school clubs on identifying and securing appropriate locations to host races.
• Encourage schools to travel, collaborate and race with other participating schools whenever possible.
• Encourage school clubs to connect with local MultiGP Chapters for assistance with hosting and operating races.
• Mentor students as they enter and learn the CDRA / MultiGP competition system.
• Help participating schools understand race procedures, scoring, reporting and other competition requirements.
• Promote communication and collaboration between schools, students and local MultiGP Chapters.

• Select or develop five simulator tracks for the season, with the fifth track serving as the Simulator Finals.
• Ensure all tracks use scenes included in the free simulator pack so every participating student has access.
• Include at least one Whoop-style track during the simulator season.
• Determine the simulator competition format, scoring structure and participation requirements.
• Publish the simulator schedule, tracks, rules and instructions prior to competition.
• Track each team’s progress and results throughout the simulator season.
• Update team scores and standings on the CDRA website each week.
• Communicate weekly expectations, deadlines, results and upcoming races to participating schools.
• Assist students and school organizers with questions regarding simulator competition and participation.

• Assist in determining the Championship competition format and schedule.
• Coordinate Championship information and requirements with participating schools.
• Ensure qualified teams and students understand registration, travel, competition and event requirements.
• Coordinate with MultiGP staff, Chapters, volunteers and event partners as necessary.
• Support race operations and student participation throughout the Championship.
• Ensure final results and standings are accurately recorded and published.
• Help create a Championship experience that promotes competition, sportsmanship, community and continued student involvement in drone racing.

• Serve as a primary point of contact for participating schools and students.
• Maintain consistent communication through the website, Discord, email and other CDRA communication channels.
• Mentor new school clubs and help remove barriers to participation.
• Build stronger relationships between school clubs and the broader MultiGP Chapter network.
• Encourage collaboration, travel and competition between participating schools.
• Identify opportunities to improve and grow the CDRA program.
• Maintain accurate and timely rules, schedules, standings and program information.
• Create an organized, welcoming and competitive environment that encourages students to become long-term members of the MultiGP community.
