MultiGP Championship 2023 Results

The eighth edition of the MultiGP Championship was truly an unforgettable event. Five days that literally “flew by” in an atmosphere that is difficult to describe in words and should be experienced by every FPV pilot at least once in a lifetime!
MultiGP’s primary goal is and always will be to make the experience enjoyable for the pilots. This would not be possible without our extraordinary volunteers and MultiGP Staff, their fundamental contribution and the countless hours dedicated to setting up and tearing down the venue.

So here’s our greatest thanks to Geoff Peacock, Greg Callahan, Tom Davis, Joey Dowding, Ari McEntire, Mason Lively, Jeff Hardy, Kalli Ames, Kate Suarez, Savannah Thomas, Sean Craighead, Nicole Tefft, Jacob Isotalo, Phillip Isotalo, Ethan Kling, Andre Smith, Flynix, Rose, BendFPV, FPVgan, Chris Thomas, Shawn Ames, Clare Cannizzaro, Mark Grohe, Roger Bess, Henry Moizo, Doug Kling, Mark Huff, Phil Baxter,  Paul Adkins, FM Stark, Alesa Weiss, and the selfless owners of No Quarter Ranch, Michelle and Matt Brooks

The breathtaking location of the No Quarter Ranch

Nestled in sunny Citrus Springs, Florida, the No Quarter Ranch provided an exceptional setting for the 2023 MultiGP Championship. A unique location that Matt and Michelle Brooks built from scratch, piece by piece, entirely designed to support their passion for drone racing. Their hospitality made us all feel part of one big family, and the pre installed onsite technology allowed staff and volunteers to spend time on elements like LED gates instead of basic infrastructure.

The new format was a success!!

A primary goal for this was event was to give pilots the opportunity to fly until their thumbs bled during qualifying.  Thanks to our in house tech genius, Roger Bess, his deployment of the MultiGP ZippyQ system enabled pilots to fly as much as the schedule would allow!  The sunny weather meant no rain delays and along with our great line judges Paul Adkins and FM Stark, enabled pilots to fly an incredible 18 packs for qualifying, plus 2 warm up packs and minimum of 2 packs in the bracket, for Sport Class. Even more for the Pro class: 26 total qualifying sessions split in 2 days, plus 2 warm up each bracket and 2 minimum in brackets.

Another goal achieved was that each pilot was able to participate in a bracket with with the possibility of climbing all the way to the A main thanks to the bump up bracket formula.  The most striking examples were that of Tbell, who went from E Main to C Main and ranked 40th overall in the Pro Class and Wildtype who went from C Main to Top 16 finals and ranked 12th overall in Pro Class! Not to mention Proximo who bumped up from B Main to a podium finish at 3rd overall in Pro Class!

Undoubtedly what makes us most proud is to once again experience the spirit of brotherhood and friendship between pilots and staff during the entire event. The competitive tension was high, but always with great respect and friendship between all participants.  This competitive nature was balanced out with numerous hilarious moments of pure fun for all!

High-Speed Action

The MultiGP Championship all boiled down to crowning the fastest pilot in the world. Pilots from all over the world participated in the 2023 Global Qualifier organized by MultiGP Chapters with the goal to qualify and secure an invitation to the MultiGP Championship. We saw many talented and skilled pilots battling in crazy fast races for 5 days from many different countries including Italy, Canada, Germany, Costa Rica, Switzerland, and South Korea!

We congratulate them all for the passion, the dedication and the commitment they all share for this sport we all love so much.

Now its time to look at the final results of each Bracket for both Sport and Pro Class.
